Scientific American internships for Spring 2012 in New York

Scientific American is currently accepting applications for its spring editorial internships based in New York. The interns will be involved in the editorial process and will conduct research and fact checking as assigned. Primary duties may also include writing news stories and blog posts.
Requirements:
- Have completed one year in a graduate program in journalism or have equivalent work experience in journalism.
- Strong understanding of science news and current issues in science, technology and health is required.
The work schedule is flexible but candidates should be available two or three regular business days per week.
